IT’S TIME 

IT’S TIME to get serious.  After untold months (seems like years) of political meandering, IT’S TIME to start to make that Change.  IT’S TIME to win an election.

GKCDFA will be officially joining the Obama Campaign. We will be meeting with Ryan Cooper and Nellie Abernathy, lead Obama representatives assigned to the KC area, to learn more about the campaign.  They will answer your questions and help you find how YOU can best help get Obama elected in November. Training will include: Voter Registration, how to contact voters, developing a grassroots neighborhood campaign on your block, how to head off the smears, and of course GOTV (getting out the vote). 

McCain may be the GOP’s throw-away candidate this time around, but then we thought Bush didn’t have much of a chance 8 years ago.  We can’t afford to do that again.  IT’S TIME for everyone to get involved.  There’s a big change a comin’ - be a part of it. In our continuing effort to support the Rose Brook’s Center’s goal to “break the cycle of domestic violence so that individuals and families can live free of abuse,” we are asking each of you to donate some school supplies.  Needed are: crayons, pencils, markers, Kleenex/tissues, notebooks, loose leaf paper, ball point pens, socks for women, protractors, erasers, and rulers. 

Politics may drive us, but compassion should lead!
